Promoting Positive Development in Early Childhood Program (Promoviendo la Crianza Positiva en la Primera Infancia)

We offer a four-part training program based on positive childcare practices for Educational Aides/Teaching Assistants, Nannies and Domestic Employees.

These employees often provide a high quality and highly valued service and have an important role to play in supporting children's optimal long-term development. However at times have had limited access to formal education and may also have culturally varied approaches when it comes to setting limits and supporting children's emotional, psychological, physical and social development.

This program is delivered in Spanish and the information is presented in an easy-to-understand yet comprehensive way. It draws on current best-practice guidelines for childcare including positive parenting and educational practices. The program is delivered in a culturally-sensitive manner by female, Mexican psychologists.

There are two adaptations of the program, one for educational settings and one for domestic (home) settings.

For Schools

This program can be run in schools with both aides/assistants and with teachers. Groups of up to five participants are welcome.

For Home

This program has been popular with cross-cultural families who hire a domestic employee.
